Welcome to Sugar Creek Toymakers New website.
Our name has become synonymous with quality wooden toys. Now for more than a generation children have enjoyed playing with our chunky wooden toys, handcrafted to become heirlooms.
But especially our uniquely designed and hand painted wooden dolls in ever growing ranges have found collectors in children and adults alike.
We are Jan and Friedel Warmers and after all these years we still love to create and make our toys and hope that everone of them will bring pleasure and love to whomever touches them.
Our workshop is situated in the Great Lakes Shire of NSW. Nestled besides a giant old Tallowood tree just half a kilometer off the shores of Smiths Lake near the village of Bungwahl and only minutes away from some of the most scenic and beautiful beaches and Wallis Lake and Myall Lakes at close range.
Our Shopping town of Forster is 30 km’s to the north.
In our showroom people can watch us paint our dolls and through windows from there and our veranda can follow the activities in our workshop with it’s routers, band-saw, lathes and sanders.
Our chunky toys are made predominantly from plantation radiata pine and various recycled offcuts of red cedar, pine and Corderoy beach, as well as a variety of other timbers.
Our Dolls are turned from beech but many timbers have been used over the years.
Beside our showroom and workshop,we have a studio/gallery where Friedel’s paintings can be viewed and purchased. Friedel works in watercolours ,oils, pastels, charcoal and mixed media and has received numerous awards for his works.
